A Study on the Anxiety and Depression of Dental Students

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of anxiety and depression of dental students and to investigate the relationship between emotional state and academic achievement.
490 Dental students of WonKwang Univ. were participate in this study.
For this study, STAI (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory) and BDI (Beck Depression Inventory)
were used.
The results were as follows ;
I. The mean value of STAI score of students was 86. 66, and BDI score is 11. 86.
2. The BUI score of female students was 14. 51, which was higher than that of male students.
3. .Students with high academic achievement earn lower STAI, BDI score, and students with low academic achievement earn higher STAG BDI score.
